Kings vs. Canucks Pre-Game Report #1 – Morning Skate Review

An review of the 20 minute skate, a look at possible changes in the lineup tonight plus a classic rock/paper/scissors battle between Kopitar and Fraser I totally missed while commentating but got on video. Kopi won of course.

Kings vs. Canucks Pre-Game Report #2 – Lineup Update

There was an unusual end to the pre-game skate today where no skaters stayed after to do extra work. Typically everyone but the projected scratches leave the ice, which gives a strong indication who will play and who will sit in the press box. Not today.

Martinez and Muzzin left at the same time just ahead of Mitchell and Greene. And many of the bottom six guys left at or near the same time, leaving me to guess who might be scratched tonight. Here’s my projected lineup. Much of my reasoning is explained in the videos.

*Bonus: Watch Bill Ranford celebrate beating Scrivens like he just scored a game winner.

Quick to start.

King – Kopitar – Carter
Brown – Stoll – Williams
Pearson – Richards – Toffoli
Clifford – Lewis – Nolan

Regehr – Doughty
Mitchell – Voynov
Greene – Martinez

Scratches: Frattin, Fraser, Muzzin

Scrivens backing up.
