The Phoenix Coyotes practice facility will play host to a Stanley Cup celebration on August 29th. Known as The Ice Den, the facility is located in Scottsdale, which is on the other side of town from the Yotes home ice at Jobing.com arena. The Ice Den’s restaurant, 18 degrees, will serve as the primary location for the party.
The reason? It’s the Kings’ first-year Assistant Equipment Manager Denver Wilson’s day with the Cup. You might recall that Denver’s dad Stan has been with the Coyotes organization for 22 seasons. Denver himself worked at the Ice Den for a number of years before joining the Kings. The event is aimed at helping local minor hockey clubs.
The Stanley Cup will be making an appearance at 18 Degrees and at the Ice Den in Scottsdale on Wednesday, August 29th from 5pm to 7pm.
The Ice Den is thrilled to announce that Denver Wilson, a trainer with the Stanley Cup Champion L.A. Kings, will spend his “Day With The Cup” at 18 Degrees Neighborhood Grill.
Wilson, a long-time employee of the Ice Den and Coyotes Ice Sports, has chosen to bring the most storied trophy in professional sports to the Ice Den in support of minor hockey, Valley wide. It will mark the first time the Cup has been in the building since 1998, when it was on tour from the National Hockey League.
